Pledging at a different college (Greek life)

Hello, I was wondering if it would be possible for me to pledge at a different college that is close to the college I will be attending since my college does not have fraternities. If this is possible would you all suggest I go ahead or do not? I’m looking forward to building bonds in college and I’m hoping this will be one way to do so.

Impossible. There’s a GPA requirement to join a Fraternity.

You have to be a current registered student to go through the rush process. Rush is a fairly formal process.

You could join a local frat (one that does not have a national charter), possibly. However, these are pretty rare.

Actually, this is a relatively common thing to do if your college doesn’t have Greek Life. Talk to some of the chapters at the other school and see what their policy is, each chapter differs.

It is fairly common at my school. We have greek life, but Clarkson students can also rush Potsdam Fraternities and Sororities.
