Bump… how about regular chances?

If you look around at other similar threads, you’ll notice that most of us don’t give chances because we’re not admissions officers and simply have no clue. Even with some sense of what they’re looking for, there are so many variables that we can’t begin to guess. You appear to be in range academically, meaning it’ll come to those numerous other factors.

Chances for PLME are very unpredictable. Lots of the “best” students still don’t get accepted. Some things I can give you input on:
In your favor, PLME and more for regular admission: Iowa helps! Asian does not. (you prob know that).
Unless you have some personal passion related to it, the awards, academic honors actually prob not so big for Brown. (better to show how that relates to either leadership skills, or some form of personal initiative. )
Research is a big plus for PLME if you have not only hours in a day, but some length of time, and therefore also a way that you can talk meaningfully about it. Also, perhaps more importantly, can you have a meaningful, personal type of reference letter from it? (ie there is a big difference from the student who really worked side by side with a research PhD or MD and that person writing a heartfelt endorsement for the student becoming a physician, and the student who showed up a few days a month because it would look good on paper!)
Even with those thoughts, it can be very unpredictable who gets into PLME. My best advice for both admission categories is to let Brown know who you are beyond the numbers.
