Without knowing a LOT more about the prospective student, this is an impossible question to answer.

How about ACT or SAT score? GPA? Any HS activities that would respund positively to the admissions folks?

Your question as written is impossible to answer…for you.

Is money a concern?

@Madison85 well yea I can only contribute 15000/year :slight_smile:

@thumper1 Im looking for top 100 finance uni/LACs :slight_smile: My SAT score now is 2100 but I think it may change because im gonna take it again in Oct. :slight_smile: i just want to have some reference:D

So…what are your SAT or ACT scores? What is your GPA?

How much is your family annual income in U.S. dollars? Does your family have any assets?

There are plenty of good schools for finance, but it would be good to know a little about your qualifications before making suggestions.

Is the student a U.S. citizen?

@thumper1 my sat is 2100 and gpa is 9.0/10. My family contribution is 15000/year. Im planning to study finance and accouting or finance and business admin :slight_smile: I think my biggest weakness is financial contribution. I have unusual circumstances so I hope I can find uni/LACs with good aid packages :slight_smile: my ECs and PS are quite good, my toefl is 105. Im finding LAC or Uni that cover both accouting and finance, top 100 perhaps. thank you :slight_smile:
@Madison85 im an international student :slight_smile: I come from Vietnam :slight_smile:

lol undergrad finance = topic you can learn in a month by reading a book or just going online

The finance majors I know all switched from math or engineering because it was too hard for them. I feel like it’s wiser to study math or computer science in undergrad and then go to grad school if you want to work in finance. Or simply graduate from undergrad and learn the finance you need on the job/during training (of course, you have to have an interest in the markets and keep up with financial news/indices; but that hardly requires studying the finance major). Employers rarely require an econ/finance major. Trust me, you will learn so much more.

As for good unis/LACs if you want to work in finance - look for colleges and universities that are target schools of major financial institutions/companies. Or where job placement rates are high. For LACs, look at the top 15 LACs.

RMIT University in Hanoi and Saigon would be a good choice.

Northeastern University. Bentley.

Or take some finance and economics electives alongside whatever major (though math, statistics, and industrial engineering are common majors for those going into finance).
