PLTW & Cornell Credits

Hello everyone,

I was wondering, does Cornell accept Project Lead The Way credits obtained in high school through a local university? I took digital electronics during my junior year and I have until April 15 to submit an application to get (officially) the credits. And even if Cornell does accept these credits, what class would they go towards to? I’m majoring in electrical and computer engineering.

Thanks.

What topics were covered in the class?

Gates, boolean algebra, circuit design, flip-flops, shift registers, logic families

the whole course outline is here (scroll down): [Powered by Google Docs](http://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v&q=cache:FA78DwZ5rZ8J:www.hsd401.org/ourschools/highschools/highline/documents/syllandtoolinventory.pdf+digital+electronics+pltw+course&hl=en&gl=us&pid=bl&srcid=ADGEESjha9kByQFgZqvtzEBNnoqRAQPEcXAEsJdgWr3uPLCXioC0tKGwkcSEXSYZCjI7RWHiFzZ0wn7MNFYgRISHQdoCNAE18-xWboCqMX3pele8HpuxtoeWYu2J017t5maWnrf0QjUk&sig=AHIEtbQeRIMhBnIjECwTx4VcRtLWHKx4Sg&pli=1)

Hey, I’m actually in PLTW too at my high school (even though I didn’t apply to engineering) and I’m pretty positive that they don’t take any of the credits. Here’s a link to all the colleges that do.

that’s what I thought. Btw, where’s the link?

It’s right there, obviously. :D

Your class is very similar to ECE2300 (also known as ENGRD2300).

However, from just glancing at your syllabus, it seems to be leaving out Verilog and more in depth microprocessor design. I don’t think that Cornell will credit, but you can try. Also, if you really don’t have processor design or Verilog knowledge, I would suggest taking ECE2300 because Verilog and processor design is used in later courses as well.

haha that was my bad. [PLTW | University Partners](Our Partners Support Access to STEM Curriculum | PLTW)
