<p>PLUS are parental loans to help cover the Expected Family Contribution, or the gap between the aid package and the actual cost of college.</p>

<p>The CollegeBoard is trying to solicit a PLUS loan from your parents. They will make a fee for making the loan. This fee inturns helps to fund the NMS program. </p>

<p>To be considered for a PLUS Loan, any number of institutions and nonprofits can qualify your family for this loan. Likewise for a Stafford Loan.</p>
