plz help me!!!

hey, congratilations to all of u who’ve already gotten into stanford!! u guys r really lucky to b there. its an awsome school!!

i know that stanford isnt need blind in admissions (for international students anyway) so i was wondering how good u have 2 b 2 get in if u need aid.

did any of u guys (w r international students) get in w/ aid?? if so, could u plz post your stats??

thanx a lot!!!

Stanford receives thousands of international applicants and accepts very few of them. That alone should indicate you must be “very good.”

Leland stanfurd Jr college gets about 1000 applicants out of us around 14000 from CA/around, Another 5000 from the rest of the us.

and what baba said is irrelevant to the poster original question.

Best way to get in Stanfurd is to move to Menlo School, CA where they got 15 students in 04( about 1% ofthe class). They prefer CA crowd. Better yet try UCB its better and cheaper.

We all know that Berkeley’s undergrad cannot even compete with Stanford’s undergrad. Given, berkeley’s grad program beats all.

1/3 of the Stanfurd CA admits are UCB rejects.

where did you pull that from?

No one in their right mind would choose CAL over Stanford if financial aid was not the imperative issue.

thanx for your input

hey, baba, r u applying to UCB??
btw, dont the expenses for attending UCB add up to around $40,000 for non-residents??

oh, and r u serious about 1/3 of the stanford CA admits being UCB rejects??

baba is citing a survey given by the Stanford paper to the students before a big game within the past few years. There are some problems with the survey, but it can be said that 1/3 of the people that responded were rejected from Berkeley. You can search the Berkeley or Stanford forums and probably find the survey in questions with threads about it.

As to what baba said, moving to ca is, although not a good strategy, an unreasonable idea.

Static, it’s amazing how Berkeley’s program and Stanford’s programs can’t even compare, yet the students do practically the same things after attending either school.

Actually, most of stanford’s undergrad goes to professional and/or graduate school. You can’t disagree and say that Stanford doesn’t have a pre-professional atmosphere to it.
