<p>Should we admire heroes but not celebrities? </p>
<pre><code> The term “hero” may have synonemed itself with “celebrity” in many people’s minds.However, just being famoues doesn’t qulify a person to be called a hero. Heroes provide something of larger value to humans rather than a mere good time infront of the television.
Real heroes are those who provide a concept to humanity. Ghandi, for an instance, is an indian leader who fought for his countiy's libernation. He didn't ask for fame nor did he gain it while living. His stronghold stand against the enemy with his own pricipels makes him a hero. he didn't only fight the britins backe then; he also had to convince his own people to comply with his own methods and don't chose violence. Ghandi deserves to be called a hero and have all people know about him.
Martin Luther King Jr is another hero. Martin luther spent most of his life seeking the rights of the black people in America. Cosequantly, he was subjected to every kind of society's pressure , including bitter critizism and even mockery; however, he didn't lose sight of his "dream". Even in his prison cell, he didn't quaver and gave up his goal. He wrote the letter of Branghim Jail. Nowadays, all people are is indepted to luther king. In fact, he set an example that many people looke up to as a hero.
Celebrities, on the other hand, tend to search foe fame. Some of many alter their looke even princibels to gain peoples admiration. How possibly can an actor or a football player ever be called a hero? People, ecpicialy adolescents , tend to reflect upon those they see on TV. However, if people really consider what a singer provide to humanity, the answer would be "mere" entertaiment.
No matter how you look at this issue, real hereos like Ghandi, luther king, Rosa parks and many others sacrifice themselves for a much greater value. They forfeit their easy going lives to their princibles. Those hereos whom the history will never forget can't be combared one way or another to those who search for spot lights and go after the camera.
