If your rejected from Carroll School of Management are you rejected from BC period or are you still allowed to get in under some under school? Also what would you say is more competitive RD or EA? I am not exactly Top 10 ranking student but my GPA is decent and my test scores are very good

I think it’s rejected period, but it’s probably best to call.

I wouldn’t know from experience. ;)

I would assume BC uses the same policy as most schools where you are able to apply to ONLY ONE school, and acceptance/rejection is final

which one would be the easiest to get into?

It probably depends on what classes you have the strongest grades in. But if you get into one of the schools, you aren’t allowed to transfer to another until after freshman year; something to think hard about.

is it hard to get into Carroll?
Also does BC care alot about class rank and freshmen grades?

It doesnt change much from school to school, but if you apply to the Carroll school, show them your commitment to studying business not only to BC, it gives you a chance to stand out more with essays and ranks, lowering the importance of grades and class rank (they would assume you’ll do better studying what you like.)

hm… I heard ED is more competitive than RD… should I just RD?

(Its EA, not ED) The competitiveness is reflected on a higher acceptance rate, so it doesn’ really matter. If its your first choice, go for it EA.

ED us usually a higher credentialed student but smaller group…RD can be harder because some schools fill half of the class ED.

where does Carroll fall in ?

Are you male? If that’s the case and you’re intent on studying at BC regardless of school, applying to the nursing school would be “easier.” Like DC said, you would have to wait until your sophomore year if you wanted to transefer to the Carroll School, and its no guarantee that you’d be accepted. I also bet that if you have no interest in nursing the adcom would probably see through such a strategy (this is hardly novel).

As for EA vs RD,my impression is that while its slightly more difficult to get accepted EA, most EA applications aren’t outright rejected but get reviewed a second time under RD.

BC seems so hard to get in…

Is Carroll the most competitive?

I honestly don’t know if Carroll is more/less competitive to get into than A&S, though I would guess it is more competitive than nursing or education.

Would a good record in math/science boast your chances of acceptance to the nursing school? Also, would a good record in the humanities boast your chances of acceptance to the Arts & Science school?

bump for my previous question, lol.
