<p>I had a severe case of pneumonia that greatly affected my performance for the first two quarters in my senior year, affecting my grades significantly for the tougher classes - AP Physics and AP Calculus. I would have B’s in those classes but A’s and A+'s in my other classes like AP Spanish, AP Government, Economics, etc. </p>
<p>Since I am applying to schools for regular decision I will have to send the midyear report but I am concerned with my grades. Is it appropriate that I write that I had pneumonia in the Additional Information - Writing section on the Common App?</p>
