Pneumonia

My college roommate went to the doctor yesterday and got some x-ray and blood tests done. The doctor said he has pneumonia. My math professor had pneumonia too. She stayed in the hospital for 2 weeks but was released yesterday. Does anyone know if it is contagious?

Does this article suggest I should kill him before he kills me?

You don’t need an article to tell you to do that.

well, lil_killer, it wouldn’t be out of character. go for it!

I looked at his test results from going to the doctor again. I saw a circled number of “86” for segs%. Does anyone have any idea what segs% mean?

Okay I found it. “Segs” is another word for neutrophils, which is a white blood cell. Obviously my roommate’s white blood cell is 86% neutrophils. Is this good or bad?

A helpful site.

I’m by no means an expert, but from what little background I have, 86% is extremely high; obviously because he’s actively fighting infection.

But don’t kill him; it’s cowardly to kill him in his weakened state. All you can do is take preventative measures to keep from getting sick yourself.
