Point Differential on subscores?

So my scores suck to say the least (24 english, 23 math, 19 reading, 18 science, 23 english/writng, 8 essay), but I was wondering like how many more questions i would need to get right on each section to bump up every one of my scores to 25.

Don’t feel too bad, you got a higher essay score than me. lol

I’m pretty sure you average the four main components (English, Math, Reading, Science) to get your composite score. So if you want a 25 composite, your four main components should add up to 100.

yea I know that, but I was wondering how many more questions I would have to get right to recieve a 25 in every section. Ex: 23 math = 36/60 correct how many more would I need to get right to reach 25?

That I do not know. Sorry.

Math 23 -> 25: 3-4 more right
English 24 -> 25: 1-2 more right
Reading 19 -> 25: 6 more right (each one is worth a point)
Science 18 -> 25: 13-14 more right

In general, each 2 extra correct answers will yield a 1-point subscore increase, except in Reading where 1-point yields a 1-point increase. The obvious conclusion: since it’s the composite that counts, focus on Reading first, for the biggest impact.

These differences are taken from the 2010 Gruber guide. If someone has the Real ACT guide, it may be slightly more accurate.
