Polish and cleaner for Stainless Steel appliances

Another thumbs up for Therapy (and I’ve tried a lot of products) - my refrigerator looks new again (and it lasts for months).

And Therapy does not stink!!

Interesting that some think SS takes a lot of work. With SAH, the housekeeper isn’t coming and I’ve done appliances exactly once in 8 weeks. I clean up the spots/spills but they look fine without the extra polish.

I downsized into condo late last summer, and liked the look of the stainless steel appliances. But, boy, are they hard to keep clean. In addition to cleaning up splatters and spots every day, I have to remove smudges and spots from everything at least once a week.

I had black appliances installed when we remodeled the kitchen in our house in the mid 90’s. They went out of style quickly, but I thought they were great.

My husband doesn’t seem to get that he should open and close the refrigerator by the handles. So my refrigerator has large handprints on it all the time.

So I probably clean the refrigerator twice a month. I should clean it every week but since no one is coming over, every other week is fine

Due to recommendations here, I purchased Therapy for our new fridge 2.5 years ago. My housekeeper hates it, so I have plenty left as I use it only when needed. I truly don’t know what she uses, but I assume Dawn as she uses that for most things! The fridge looks good when she leaves, so I have no complaints.

So, I decided whichever of these recommendations I saw first I would try first. I went to Kroger this morning and saw the Weiman, is spray or wipes. I bought the wipes.

Wow, it was so easy to clean my appliances and they look great. Literally twice as fast to clean as I’ve been doing the last 20 years! My hopes are that the wipes will stay moist in the container, as I typically was only doing really well about once a month. I typically would just wipe off with damp rag as needed, but it was streaky. But since it’s so easy, I’ll probably wipe down a lot more.

Side bar if OK:If not, I’ll move to a new thread. I too LOVE my textured black refg. All my current appliances are black, and still look fine with our black counter. But we need to replace our DW. We can get a black DW in our preferred choice (Bosch) but the next appliance to go is probably the refg. There seem to be very few options of the more reliable brands in black. So we need to think slightly longer term & choose the new DW with that in mind.

I’m concerned that black stainless will also be a temporary fad. I certainly don’t want to purchase all new appliances when only one currently needs replacing, And even if we choose a black stainless DW, do they blend across different manufacturers? Any advice from those w black stainless? Easy to keep looking clean?

I’ve lived in my house 20 plus years and I’ve never thought much about what stainless steel cleaner I bought. I’ve always had a housecleaning person and I’ve been spoiled. Due to the Covid situation I’ve been cleaning each week. I have stainless Dishwashers, oven and cooktop. My refrigerator is dated as it is wood paneled to match the cabinets. I don’t think they are any harder to clean or show streaks. I did look today (only because I had this thread in the back of my mind)and I have Weiman spray. Worked great.
