Political or Computer Science?

Political Science major or Computer Science major?

For students who are political or computer science majors tell me the life of each.

For students who aren’t either poli sci or computer sci majors tell me which one you think is better and why?

I’m not sure which to pick. I’m interested in politics and my dad is a programmer(so I know a bit about programming).

Oh and my dads starting a programing company which is going to excel and become huge. When he dies I wouldn’t want some man/woman taking over the company, you know.
Should I pick what I’m interested in or should i pick what I already know?

I think you should pick what you WANT to do. Which do you like better? Don’t pick something because of the money.

If you’re not sincerely happy with one, pick the other. Can you imagine yourself being in a job of that field for the rest of your life?

"Oh and my dads starting a programing company which is going to excel and become huge. "

Can I borrow your crystal ball?

To tomatoking:
Sure 5 bucks a minute.
lol
I get your point. But say if it was to become huge then my dad dies and some jerk takes over the company…that would sux!

Is the entire reason you’re considering computer science because you know a little programming and are worried about someone taking over your dad’s company?

yea basically.

What do you really want to do after college?

If you don’t like CS, don’t do it. It will be demanding, intellectually and in the homework which you must do.

All other things being equal, PoliSci is a more well-rounded, liberal-arts education that will be less stress on you.

Don’t let your father’s expectations dictate your actions.
