Political Science / Economics School

I’m looking into political science and economics. I went to **************, filled the form, and I wanted opinions on the results. I would of loved to get into Duke or Georgetown but I don’t think that is going to happen. Anyway, below is a list of schools that I have a chance of getting into according to the site, could you please rank them. Which university will give me the best education for the job market?

University of Michigan - 93.8%
University of Minnesota - 99.7%
University of Wisconsin - 97.3%
University of Rochester - 92.5%
George Washington U - 79.9%
New York University - 68.2%
Carnegie Mellon U - 48.4%
Boston College - 45.1%
Washington U in St.Louis - 43.6%
Johns Hopkins University - 26.9%
U of California, Berkeley - 20.9%

Other suggestions are welcome.

i wonder that those percentages beside the school names are…

from your list, i’d personally rank them this way:
Cal Berkeley
Michigan
JHU
Washington USL
NYU
Wisconsin

no idea about the rest…

Here are the rankings, although it would be extremely foolish to focus on them entirely and overlook fit and overall quality (i.e. relatively few would choose Minnesota over WUStL or JHU).

Keep in mind that JHU and WUStL are fairly unlikely if you don’t have at least a decent chance at Duke or Georgetown.

Averaged Rankings (Political Science, Economics)

6 Berkeley (#6, #6)

8 Michigan (#4, #12)

13.5 Minnesota (#17, #10)

14.5 NYU (#17, #12)

Wisconsin (#15, #14)

18.5 Rochester (#15, #22)

20.5 WUStL (#13, #28)

32 Johns Hopkins (#39, #25)

CMU (#19 in Economics)
Boston College (#31 in Economics)
GWU (#39 in Political Science)

For that purpose, try a good nursing school. I believe Georgetown does have one.

IB, where are you getting those numbers? Gourman?
