<p>Is it risky to write about animal rights in response to an “if you had one hour to meet with a govt. representative what one issue would you talk about” question? It’s certainly highly important to me, but it seems like many people would think it is trivial compared to some of the other issues in the world…</p>
<p>no way, i think thats awesome. i might be a little biased, though, since ive been a vegetarian for about 5 years. anyway, you gotta write about stuff that means to you otherwise its going to sound contrived. so, yes, write about animal rights.</p>
<p>Thanks so much! That’s what I was thinking but I was a little worried because it seems minor compared to other issues (although that may be good because I’ll avoid being cliche). It also relates to my ECs (and will probably be mentioned in at least one rec) so it should tie my app. together some and make my passion clear.</p>

Every week, I would witness 3 or 4 catfish brutally butchered. Even when all it’s guts were removed, it still flailed. It made me want to go vegetarian.</p>
