POLL: rate your cooking ability

(1 means screw-ups everytime you’re in the kitchen. 10 means you’re the talk of the town and people go to your house just to taste your creations.)

4/10 for me: as long as I follow the directions on the box, I’m fine, but I’ve never been able to make something tasty from scratch.

6/10: Being a vegetarian means that I have to learn to cook for myself, which always makes you a better cook.

3/10 I microwave frozen vegetables well and am so-so at boiling the pasta on which said vegetables generally rest (pasta boiling takes a bit more attention than I am willing to give it.)

3/10 .

3/10

i can make frozen pizzas and frozen asian stuff
i can also make potsticker soup out of frozen potstickers
…and i am capable of chopping stuff up

a combination of 1 and 6…
I can usually end up making things fairly well, but the process is always a disaster.

7/10…I can cook anything basic and all that…not anything gourmet but I can mix random stuff and make my own recipes and stuff :D

My cooking is about 7/10.
My baking is 9.5/10.

I’d say a 1.5. So far I’ve managed to start 3 fires, one of which destroyed my toaster oven. I gave myself a 1.5 rather than a 1 because I have recently learned how to boil an egg.

can I rate my daughter here ? I would say she is an 8/10.
She is known on her floor for her stovetop creations…she called to ask me how to make a pan seared salmon with herbs tonite…I think she likes the recognition for actually knowing how to make something that doesn’t come in a box or microwave container

With instructions and after 2 tries I am a 7/10

well MOST of the time i can make a mean bowl of cereal. :)

5/10, but I’d totally be a 6 if I didn’t burn myself weekly.
