6th: Normal, but my teacher gave me 1 year ahead work
7th: 1 year ahead…No idea what it’s called
8th: 1 year ahead… No idea what it’s called
9th: 1 year ahead, Math A
10th: 1 year ahead, Math B
11th: 1 year ahead, Pre-Calc H
12th: NOTHING! =)

6th: Pre-Algebra
7th: Algebra I
8th: Geometry
9th: Algebra II Honors
10th: Precalculus Honors
11th: AP Calculus BC
Summer after 11th: Multivariable Calculus @ College
12th: AP Statistics

7th - Algebra I
8th - Geometry
9th - Algebra II
10th - IGCSE Additional Maths
11th - AS Maths with Statistics (Self study: AP Calculus and AP Stats)
12th - A-Level Maths with Mechanics (Self study: Physics C)

7th - Algebra I
8th - Geometry
9th - Algebra II
10th - Precalculus/trigonometry
11th - AP Calculus AB
12th - AP Calculus BC/AP Statistics (both independent/self-studies)

wow, don’t I feel left behind, and we’re supposed to be accelerated or w/e

7th - Regular Math
8th - Algebra I
9th - Geometry
10th - Algebra II
11th - (Not there yet) Pre-Cal
12th - (Not there yet) Calculus AB/AP Stats

Also, what’s the difference between AB and BC?

im not much of a math person
8th grade–> Algebra 1
9th grade–>Geometry
10th grade–>Algebra
11th grade–>Trig/pre cal
12th grade–>Calculus AB

6th- pre algebra
7th - algebra 1
8th - algebra 2
9th- alg/trig and geo second semester
10th - Adv. Calc 1
11th - will take Calc 2 (this is highest my school goes up to)
12th - will be taking multivariable at johns Hopkins

BC has a few extra topics. The main difference is infinite series. Most of the tests overlap though (the basic FR questions are the same), so BC should be easy if you already took AB.

6th - pre-algebra
7th - Algebra 1
8th - Geometry
9th - Algebra 2
10th - Math Analysis (we didn’t really do anything - wasted year)
11th - Calc BC (online)
12th - AP Stat (online)

lol that’s not calc bc though. that’s calc II and calc III. at most schools, calc bc is merely calc I and II, with very little multivariate, if any.

7th - some version of pre-Algebra-stuff
8th - Algebra I
9th - Geometry
10th - Algebra II
11th - Precalculus [which was the most POINTLESS CLASS EVAAAAAAR!] wow.
12th - Calc BC thank GODDDDDDDD. finally, something only somewhat ridiculously easy. lol.

5th: Algebra 1 (kumon)/Some sort of advanced arithmetic class
6th: Algebra 2 (kumon)/More stupid arithmetic/Pre-Calc (kumon)
7th: Pre-Algebra
8th: Algebra 1
9th: Geometry
10th: Algebra 2/Trig
11th: Pre-Calc/Calc AB
12th: Calc BC

Basically, after I had to leave kumon, I didn’t learn a single thing in math from 7th-11th grade. Stupid US school system. :[

For my S:

6th: Algebra 1
7th: Geometry
8th: Algebra 2
9th: Honors Trig/Math Analysis
10th: AP Calc BC
11th: Linear Algebra (this year)
12th: Multivariable Calc (next year)

7th: regular math
8th: pre-algebra, moved to algebra after one month

And the following is the lowest math class sequence at my high school, which I am in. (It’s all honors by default)
9th: Algebra II & Triginometry
10th: Analysis I
11th: Analysis II
12th: Calculus BC

Uh, I am pretty sure this is my math “sequence”. Nothing high or amazing but w/e, just enrolled in w/e course they gave me.

9th: Algebra II/Trig
10th (current) : Precalculus
11th (projected) : …AP calculus BC probably forced by my counselor, although I don’t feel like taking another math.
12th (projected) : Um, I’m done.

hehe, since I did revive the thread:

9th: Geometry/Algebra II
10th: Algebra II/Trig
11th: Analysis H
12th: AP BC with multivariate and we touch upon DiffEqs, but nothing significant

FindAPlace, that’s so awkward. Multi before Linear Algebra?

I always thought Calculus I-III was recommended before Linear Algebra.

7th - pre algebra
8th - algebra 1
9th - geometry
10th - algebra 2
11th (now) - pre calc
12th - calc (possibly ap)

Many colleges seem to have Cal I/II as a prerequisite to LA and Cal II/III as a prerequisite to DiffyEq. So many times students do end up in LA before Multivariable.

8th grade: Algebra
9th Grade: advanced math: mixture of algebra, trig, and geometry
10th Grade: advanced math: mixture of algebra, trig, and geometry
11th Grade: maths extension 1: trig, pre-calc, geometry, calculus
11th Grade Take 2: Pre-calc honours.

9th, 10th, and the first 11th grade took place in Australia, hence the odd system
