Last year it seemed to work. Take a look at the RD 2028 thread

Yeah it looks like the counselor was a good indication of results. On Reddit people noted that a lot of people last year couldn’t access the admitted students day until the day of decisions but others could a few days prior.

Hi Cory! If we can access the admitted students link, you saying that’s an indication of acceptance? Our AO hasn’t changed, but we can access the link and fill it in.

What’s the link you’re using? If it’s the one in the message you’re replying to then I’d say yes! Congrats! For us it won’t let us sign up. Currently have no counselor change. I wonder if portals were in the process of being updated over the next few days

I only tried today, about 45 min ago when I saw your post. I can add that I did try to access the link by trying to find it when not logged into the applicant portal. As soon as I tried to open the Admitted Students link, I was prompted to login in order to proceed.

Looking on Reddit and past years being able to access the admitted students day meant you were accepted, but some people still got in not being able to access it. At the end of the day we won’t know til Friday.

It was a different AO. Had her open it today to see if anything new was on it. Noticed the change.
Didn’t mention it to her (if it means nothing I don’t want her hopes dashed) but thought it was worth bringing up.

Also I have a question about financial aid. I emailed them about a missing document, and the financial aid office said they needed to send my email off to a separate financial aid counselor, and they would get back to me in 7 to 10 business days. This was last Friday, so does this mean I wouldn’t receive my financial aid offer until later if accepted?

Update: today I’m no longer able to access the link, and see the “this is for admitted students” message.

The territories for admissions officers have been updated. That would likely explain the change.

Admitted Students Day events are only for admitted students. If you recently viewed your admission offer, wait just a few minutes and then refresh this page. If you believe you’re seeing this message in error, please email [admissions@pomona.edu]

Given it now says admitted students should now wait a few minutes after decisions I think this means they’ve patched the link

Yup. I’m just very surprised that a tech team wouldn’t have this under control from the jump (especially since this happened at least last year). If I had to guess, I’d probably lean toward the error being tied to incorrect code/settings re: when to provide access to the link rather than an error regarding the accounts that should/should not be permitted to access the link, but that’s obviously only a guess. It could absolutely be that someone brought over an incorrect list of admitted students AND made an error with regard to access timing. In any case, not going to assume anything upon opening up the decision on Friday.
