I wouldn’t be too sure, I’ve had multiple schools not announce anything, and on the portal for Pomona it said they would send an email when an update was made on the portal. UNC did the same thing except they just never said anything.

For the last couple of years, Pomona admissions posted a countdown everyday on Instagram on the week decision was released.
But about 3 years ago, they posted the countdown by hours instead of by days.
I wonder if coronavirus will delay decisions?

I don’t think so considering they haven’t announced it, but receiving decisions tomorrow would certainly be a nice surprise, considering the stressful times we’re already living in. Hope everyone’s staying healthy, and that decisions are out soon!
I don’t think we had any advance notice last year until the day-of, when they did an hours countdown on the admissions Instagram page.
The past 2-3 years it’s been a countdown 5 days before, and before that it was a countdown hours before. It’s certainly possible that they could release them tomorrow, but I wouldn’t bank on it
I was at a Pomona info session today and they confirmed that decisions would not be coming out this week. They initially planned to release them tomorrow but due to recent events, they have been delayed. They didn’t give a date but I would hope it just means next Friday
Hope it’s soon!! I wish they could release them sooner, if we won’t have access to tours.
Also- why would coronavirus cause them to delay decisions if they had them ready for today?? If the decisions have been made, they may as well release them.
Just saw an instagram comment from pomona admissions where they said decisions would not be coming out today. All they said was that they would be out by April 1st.
For the past 5 years (when they started releasing decisions online), Pomona decisions have always been released the 3rd Friday of March, so they’re not falling behind yet! Hang in there!
They were probably on pace to have everything decided to release them for today, but may have had their admissions process interrupted by a lot of corona-related planning (like spending time figuring out how to have admissions officers work from home, figuring out how to handle revisit days, figuring out how to handle visits, etc.)

I hope not, but who knows. It just seems odd bc Pomona has less applications than the majority of colleges, considering its a small LAC, and yet they are taking longer than most. Who knows? There are a lot of complications with the current situation right now, so I think we all just need to be patient, and they will come out when they come out. If we’re lucky, it’ll be this friday, maybe it ends up being April 1st, either way in the next few weeks we will know our decision and where we are going to college!!
Agreed, it seems like in past years they have tried to get their decisions about before Stanford, but this year it might be the same day or even later.
