Pomona ED Thread

Haha that’s so funny. I would have been so scared to see the small envelope laying there!

Hmmm…I heard that Pomona has to send them by the 15th, so they could come earlier. I’m checking my mail very often nowadays. It’s Sat. morning and I woke up at 8:30 or so to check the mail. The mailman hasn’t even come today. Haha.

Yes, I’m so jealous as well! My friend got into UPenn. Due to my anxiety about Pomona decisions, I’ve been reading the ED decision discussions on all of the different colleges’ boards. However, this is only making me more nervous because tons of amazing 2300 applicants are getting rejected. Haha. But I’m hoping for the best.

Mail came-no letters today.

We just our late (as usual) mail delivery and there it was: large white priority mail from Pomona!! So thrilling! Good luck to the other ED applicants! :)

AHHHH I’m so excited for you and your son! Congrats!

It’s 7:10 PM here in NorCal and I’m waiting for my family to come home so I can check the mailbox :)

Congrats! I’m still waiting on the letter in NorCal as well. Mostly likely won’t get it until Monday since no mail is delivered on Sundays.

Congrats MomoGold!!!

No word yet in Colorado…

No word in Texas yet…looks like Monday.

@willyloman: Looks like Monday for me too then. Haha I got my hopes up. I wish mail was delivered on Sundays! :)

Congratulations on your son’s acceptance, momogold!! That’s so exciting; I hope you all have a nice celebration :)

Thanks @VirologyNerd, @willyloman and @KYST17! The postmark was yesterday, December 10. I thought there was a chance we could hear today being in the LA area. Director of Admissions Art Martinez underlined the “Warmest congratulations” and signed the letter in blue pen as Bruce Poch did in previous years.

Thank you Ahriana! We went out to dinner. Wish you the best of luck!

Just a note to those who find themselves waiting–my ED acceptance arrived almost two weeks late last year. So if you’re fretting, it may not be necessary!

For those of you stressing about the ED results I thought you might like to see how some Pomona students deal with finals anticipation.
Blehh can’t concentrate and have 3 essays and 932931 math problems to do… maybe i need a few puppies

I think I need a few puppies too. No really though, that’s so awesome. I love Pomona! :)

@Already: Wow…that takes real patience! :)

Whoever gets in should start a facebook group!! That’s how I got through waiting for the following fall!
Congrats to everyone who got in!

Did Pomona ask for anyone else’s quarter grades?

According to page 4, yes.

ACCEPTED!!!

In Texas…my daughter got the nice, big white envelope. Postmarked 12/10.

We will be paying two Pomona tuitions for a while (son is a sophomore)…the whole family is crazy excited!

accepted! :)
