<p>I am trying to decide between Pomona College and the University of Texas Plan II. Thoughts?</p>
<p>Can you afford either? Any money/aid issues between the two?</p>
<p>Academically, both are excellent. Otherwise, totally different environments (except for the weather). Plan II is in some ways a LAC, hosted within one of the largest public universities in the country, in a city. Pomona is in a sleepy suburb of Los Angeles, part of a small consortium. Lots of rah-rah hook 'em horns versus D3 sports. No bad choices, just different. </p>
<p>If money’s no issue, go with whichever environment you prefer.</p>
