Other Info
*Important: My school is very poor and offers like, 2 AP courses so so far, I have taken 1 honors class, and I’m taking an AP class next year (haven’t taken any community college classes)

I can come up with something interesting in my app… brag sheet, inspiring essay… I’m a really goog writer and I have a lot of ambition to go to a good college with good financial aid.

I have a strong desire to fight against discrimination, and the hardhips immigrants face when coming to this country

I am an Senior this upcoming school year

ur SAT is too low

I know, it will definetily be a red flag, but do you think I can make up for it in other ways (I.e, great recs, superb essays, urm)

your SAT will be fine for washington with all the other stuff you have done…not the others do, sorry…

Sorry ur SATs are too low. Shoot a couple levels lower, maybe the Wake Forest/ NYU/ etc level.

so are my sat’s a cause for an AUTOMATIC rejection, then?

At Rice, Stanford, and Yale probably…you need at a minimum 1200 to be in consideration unless you have an incredible hook.

well hopefully they will be interested to know that I am a poor latino farmer, who is a first generation college student. that a good “hook”??

it will be considered fa sho, but scores r scores and your SAT is far too low. Apply anyways, maybe they we ll see past that disadvantage.

Trovador - aiming for Yale/Stanford/Rice/NYU are way too high of reaches for you. You may a first generation college student and an immigrant… but there is a good amount of poor immigrant first generation college students with 1400+s, 3.85+, and good extracurriculars (i am one of them). you simply dont match up or compare SCORE wise against these other people. Also, you say your a very good writer… but your 520 SAT2 seems to say otherwise.

Just apply, and see. You never know…
