Poor performance last quarter, how will it affect me?

Hey guys,

Spring quarter for me so far has been quite the miss. As of right now I am taking the final General Chemistry, Linear Algebra, and Calculus 4, all of which (it seems) I am getting about a 2.5 in. I was wondering, if this continues and ends up being my final GPA for the quarter how will it affect my overall chance of acceptance? A better question would be, would it cause UW to revoke an acceptance? I am usually a 3.9 student but for some reason this quarter is giving me a hard time. Thanks for your comments and thoughts!

Acceptance for what? Grad school? It doesn’t sound like you’re a high school senior anymore. They’re not going to kick you out of UW for having a 2.5 grade point average. Now below a 2.0, that’s another story; they’ll put you on academic probation and you’ll have a quarter to get your act back together. It does, however, sound like you’re a freshman, in which case you’ll have plenty of time to bring it up. Of course, that does not mean it would be a good idea to be slacking off now so you’ll have to work extra hard in the future.
