the “brilliant ten” are actually eleven…two each from Cornell and Stanford; one each from Harvard, Yale, MIT, Wisconsin, Washington, Princeton, Johns Hopkins Med School–the usual suspects…

Dr. Yoky Matsuoka, has been with UWud for 1 year. Previously she was associated with CMU as assistant prof (5 years). Nice lady. We owe her for our son’s success since she was his mentor/advisor at CMU and commendator.

Helen Blackwell, Undergraduate: Chemistry with Highest Honors- Oberlin.

A little more about Helen

Yes, but where did she go to work?? Big research U.

curmudgeon, do you happen to know where the rest went to school for undergraduate degrees? (I know, I’m being lazy; I glanced through the paper copy in my kitchen but I don’t see mention of their undergrad institutions.)

midmo, I thought I remembered something about Blackwell so I “googled” her. I didn’t google the rest. I just wanted to make the point that students are inspired to great things at places other than the “usual suspects”. ;)
