Por favor! chance me senor!

Hey guys,

I’m and '09er looking at schools like HPY, Georgetown, Penn, Cornell, Duke, UVA, Tufts, Amherst, etc.

I’m from the West, am #1 in my class at the state’s most exclusive private school (though we don’t do class rank). I have a 4.17 GPA weighted, like a 3.95 unweighted.

ACT: 34
APs: All 5s
SAT Subject Tests: 780 US History, 750 Physics, 740 Lit

The only negative I can really think of is that the 3rd tri junior year I received a few A-s and a B is Photography, which is a bit out of the ordinary for me. Otherwise I take the most rigorous schedule allowed.

Your political involvement and passion for it truly is a hook for you. Your Water Conervation work is really interesting as well.

Here is my opinion:
H- I would say better chances than the average Joe.
P " "
Y " "
Georgetown- low reach to high match
Penn -
Cornell - What school are you applying to, I think its obvious though? low Reach
Duke- High Match
UVA- Match
Tufts- Match
Amherst- High Match

Thanks a bunch. Do you think my couple A-s and my B in photo in my 3rd tri junior year will hurt me substantially?

bump…

bump plz 10char

I think you have great chances at HYP (higher than most other non URMs and legacies) and amazing chances everywhere else. Your focused ec’s with politics/conservation really stand out and when adcoms look at your application, they’ll really want to meet you and have you on their campus.

Thanks a bunch!
