I’m currently a senior in high school who’s gonna go to college next year, so I was recently shopping for laptops. I’m seriously considering buying either the Sony Vaio EA Series or the EB Series. The thing is that both are very similar in terms of specifications, so I’m having a hard time choosing between the two. The only difference is that the EB Series has a larger screen size and weight (15.5" and 5.9 pounds I think) and the EA Series has a smaller one (14" and 5.2 pounds I think). So my question is, which is more important in college: portability or size?
Also, I’m planning on doing Electrical Engineering (EECS) in college, if that makes a difference. Thanks!

Don’t look at it by screen size. Compare screen resolution. If both have the same resolution, then there isn’t really a computing difference to be had, one is just larger than the other.

If the size difference is .7 pounds, I don’t think you can really claim one is more portable than the other. If you think it is, do some push-ups every day until you find the difference negligible.

There’s a huge difference between 2lb and 5lb, but very little between 5lb and 6lb.

Yeah I’m just gonna go with the 15.5 inch one. Bigger screen size is good.
