Portable video game systems, anyone?

<p>I haven’t played video games since I was around 13 or so (now 21), but I’m finding I need a new “personal space” hobby since my computer has become synonymous with my work (which I love, but…), I no longer have time to watch TV, and I’ve run into a recent dearth of engaging books, and video games used to be a nice way to spend time when I needed to chill in peace. </p>

<p>Any opinions on the DS, PSP, or whatever else may be out there? </p>

<p>For handheld gaming, the Nintendo DS is by far the best system - great price, great quality, and great games. Go for the DS Lite for just games, and the DSi if you want extra features. I’ve been a very satisfied DS Lite owner for the last 2+ years.</p>

<p>If you can only buy one, get the psp, it’s aimed more towards older people than the DS.</p>

<p>DS and variants are for children. PSP is for adults and is much better system.</p>
