What kind of a format for a portfolio is the simplest/best? I know they accept CDs, slides, or copies of artwork. I was mainly considering sending in copies because I’m not sure how to create slides, but I’m still not sure. Has anyone already submitted their portfolio that can help?

My son submitted art along with his SCA supplement last year. The preferred method (MUCH preferred) for almost all schools is to submit artwork on slides. Often your art teacher at school can help you do this–but it takes some time so you need to get to it immediately if you hope to meet the Dec 1 deadline.

I also suggest you use the CC search function and search on art portfolios. There are many posts not on the USC forum that describe how this is to be done.

Good luck!

So, dapple, are you doing the Interactive Media or something else? Because this is what confused me. I think it’s only a list of stuff.

Then again, would it benefit me in anyway to provide slides as “proof”?

im going for animation and it says to provide actual artwork for viewing

I think it is not exactly a portfolio you need to submit, but a portfolio list, kind of like a resum

Hey, USC_App, are you talking to me or dapples?

Because I’ve concluded that for me it’s just a list, for dapp, it’s a sample.

I was agreeing with what you’ve wrote before, TrojanTransfer. For me, it is just a list also. Maybe it depends on the major? I’m applying for Interactive Media and it is pretty clear that they only ask for just one sample of your work.
