So the Posse scholarship one-on-one interviews are this Friday and I’m still extremely conflicted about what to bring to the interview that will showcase another facet of my talents/leadership. I love baking, so I was thinking of baking a Japanese cheesecake. Two downsides: I don’t know if they’ll want to eat it since it’s homemade, and I don’t want them to think I’m trying to bribe them with food (I honestly love baking and I love sharing my baked goods with other people!). I also have this “open letter” I wrote to my school administration last year. Long story short, there were people trying to start a meninist club and as a feminist, I wrote to the school and told them that meninism was not something that we should teach high schoolers (If you don’t know what it is, please look it up and you’ll understand why.) It would be a great example of my interest in social justice, but I don’t know if it’s too insignificant since it was only a school-wide issue.
I thought about bringing in both things but then again, I don’t want to seem to eager to please. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
