'Possessions' essay...how many?

Quick question on the infamous possessions essay…
The max word limit is only 50 words, so I was wondering…do they want just ONE possession and a good reason, or do they want several possessions and reasons for each?
Also…should it be more or less ‘listed’ (I’d have BLAH because blah, and I’d also have BLAH because BLAH), or do they want more complexity?

personally i did one, i’d be interested in hearing how many other ppl did since i think it can work either way

i did three, but one of them was my cat…don’t know if you can call that a possession. what do you guys think?

I really doubt my fit the word count limit, but I had 3 categories with 2 objects in each, positioned in 3 groups around me.

But I probably would have reconsidered if I had seen the word limit. Was it even on the paper supplement? Or did you guys all apply online?

i’m doing it online

If you have one object in mind that really sums up your personality, go with that. But it might be better if you could think of 2-3 things that show different aspects of who you are, what you do, etc.

I chose 3 things.

i chose two things but they are both very distinct and show two totally diff. sides of me. i guess it depends on what ur “objects” are and what u want to tell them about urself.

Like joannerz, I did it on paper, so I was able to fit 250 words (in a tiny font, of course) into that small space. I wrote about ten items, but some of them were mentioned in passing (the self-explanatory ones), and the others had only a short sentence after them.

I chose two. I looked at the essay as a way to tell the adcoms which of my activities I feel best defines my personality.
