Possible ACT Stumbling Block

Dear College Confidential Community,

As you can see by my username, I have already achieved divine perfection on the SAT. However, I wish to take the ACT to appear more balanced. I’ve already completed a practice exam and achieved a 35.75. My question is should I risk such a blemish on my record just to get perfection twice? I think I might kill myself out of utter shame if I fail to get a perfect 36. I even have a noose in my closet with “35.75” written on it. Please advise.

Yeah actually I’ve heard testimonials from Harvard admissions officers who say that they immediately incinerate the resumes of anyone who missed one or more question on the ACT.

Hmmm…well that is indeed troubling. How the fuck am I expected to impress these arrogant ass-wipes when they set the bar so fucking high? Here I am trying to get to the damn Ivy League and these cunt suckers are trying to keep me out of it! I’m going to blow the entire East Coast to Kingdom Come if they don’t accept me…

You might kill yourself if you don’t get a perfect 36? Well that’s interesting.

You clearly have not encountered much failure in your life, but if your post is genuine, why bother taking the ACT?
Why don’t you keep your ‘perfect score’ and focus on other aspects of your application. After all, scores are not the only deciding factor.

Sadly, I do nothing else in my life except sit in my room for 6 hours on end and study textbook after textbook in hopes of one day winning a Nobel Prize. There is no diversity that colleges will appreciate, and thus my intellect must save me…really a depressing thought actually. (Hence the noose)
