Possible explanation?

So I am an in-state NJ student. I was rejected by Rutgers University-NB but admitted to Ohio State (main campus at Columbus) with the same GPA and stats. My gpa is lower than the OSU average for transfers and was slightly higher than the requirement for the school within RU that I wanted to attend. I know that OSU has a lower acceptance rate and is bigger than Rutgers. I think that I’ve only gotten into OSU bc I’m out of state and that means more money. What do you think?

Admissions at one school might value you more than those at another school. I wouldn’t necessarily draw that conclusion, because you just don’t know. Furthermore, Ohio State being a public University means that they have quotas for in-state students; therefore, it should be even harder for you to get in.
