hello guys,
on Friday, 10-28-11, i received a message from my college that i violated their computer use policy. they suspended my internet use. i downloaded a couple of movies, yes i know its wrong, and i’m wondering if i could get expelled b/c of this. there hasn’t been an investigation yet and i’m just scared. i’m a freshman and i haven’t done anything wrong before this. i’m just wondering if i could be expelled. what should i do?

My guess is that the school will give you a stern lecture and a warning/probation. If they expelled you for this, then they would probably have to expel a heck of a lot more students.

If anything, they will do what GMTplus7 said, but I really doubt it will be even that. They deal with this occurring so much they most likely do not have the time to visit every student.

I don’t think one can get expelled for something like this if it’s the first offense.
