<p>My possible future career requires an associate’s degree but not in any particular area of study. I have always enjoyed astronomy and astrophysics, so I was thinking of starting with an A.S. in physics to satisfy the job requirement, and then transferring to another school to get my B.S. in either physics or astronomy. I would, hopefully continue on from there even though I will probably never use or need any higher degree. It looks like the best option for me would be SUNY Empire State College since I almost work full time. I am hoping to transfer to Stony Brook, and I understand their requirement of a 3.0 gpa but I wanted to know if a student from another SUNY school gets any special consideration for enrollment or credit transfer?</p>
