<p>While this guy may be fabricating the story, it is astonishing to me that the Italian authorities say that they didn’t even bother to interview him. What, they are so busy that they couldn’t be bothered to send an investigator around for a visit?</p>
<p>I really don’t know what to make of this whole thing. On one hand, it seems almost unbelievable that Amanda would participate in this murder - unless she was on drugs and lost all sense of right and wrong. On the other hand, there seemed to be evidence indicating her guilt.</p>
<p>If she’s innocent, I hope she’s cleared. If she’s guilty, then she deserves her sentence.</p>

<p>the way that DNA evidence was handled was a mess- I would think the Italian judicial system would want to examine this " supposed new evidence"- of course if it proved this guys claims, then they wouldn’t look too good, now would they?</p>
<p>I only saw one special on television about the case, but I don’t recall there much evidence against her - was there compelling evidence against her?</p>
<p>Prosecutors consider you guilty if you are found guilty in court. Most don’t like to reopen cases because it would mean that they were wrong and that they put an innocent person through hell and let the guilty party escape and I think that that’s a pretty hard thing for a prosecutor to deal with in their mind.</p>
