<p>Lets say you are applying for a masters. If you’re considered a good masters applicant and you mark on your app your ultimate goal is a phd, but they don’t think you’re a good phd fit, will you be rejected? Could marking this down increase your chances of getting in? Maybe no effect?</p>
<p>Also, lets say you’re interested in writing a thesis and you select that degree option when applying. If you do not qualify, but would if you did not want a thesis, could you be accepted on a no thesis option? Or would you be rejected?</p>
