Is it possible to be a pre-med “major” without being in the HPME program at NU? If so how many people do it? Is there advising? etc. etc.

^Thanks.

Does anyone know about how many people go into NU knowing that they’re pre-med?

To the OP, yes. There are far more pre-meds than HPME kids (NU students please weigh on with stats). My younger son’s roommate is pre-med, not HPME and running a 4.0 so far. My older son’s best friend from high school will graduate from NU this year, also not HPME and has multiple med school acceptances. NU does have a fairly large % of students entering as pre-med, but I don’t know the exact stats.
