<p>Okay so I’m what’s known as a rising grader.
My grades weren’t so hot freshman year,but they have hugely increased.</p>

<p>Freshman: 3.6 W, 3.4 UW
Sophomore I switched schools, that doesn’t use GPA but a numerical system, it’s very competitive.
1 AP class, three honors, toughest courseload.-88.5</p>

<p>Junior: 6 AP classes, 1 honor, I had to get permission from my dean to take six APs because more than 4 Ap classes aren’t allowed usually.
-91.05</p>

<p>Senior-5 Ap classes
School doesn’t rank, probably top 10% of the classes</p>

<p>Extra curricular: (what I hope is saving me)
I am a really good pianist, played for nine years
I’ve played at over 20 embassies, the White House, Carnegie Hall, Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center, the United Nations, Capitol Hill, the Pentagon, and have won countless competitions. </p>

<p>Other stuff:
Played flute for 5 years
Head of Asian-Awareness (I’m not asian btw)
Head of Diversity
300+ community service
Made three documentaries
won four writing scholarships/competitions (prize money all together-6000$)
2 years JV track
1 year V track
1 year JV tennis
1 year V tennis
was on television for academic show</p>

National Merit commended</p>

<p>What I was hoping is that I could explain my freshman and sophomore grades weren’t so hot was because I went to new schools both years and I had a really hard time adjusting.</p>

<p>Apply to Princeton, Stanford, UC Berkeley, and UCLA. Without a connection to the schools, you will be hard-pressed to get into a lot of top universities, but none of these four schools consider freshman grades–meaning you will probably be about a 3.83 GPA with excellent test scores and good ECs. I’d also consider USC if you are interested in going into film studies.</p>
