Is it just me, or does anyone else feel “empty” after AP season. I feel purpose-less and vacant the week right after. EHH. Ahh whatever.

For me…not really. I have a 500 pt Spanish project, math project, physics project, 2 art projects, this book club thing in English, and a chapter of novel to write for English. Evil teachers!!

oh yes, I have my physics ap test on monday…which i will fail horribly. =[

Heh heh, well it’s not post AP for many of us (including myself). Although I do rather enjoy the feeling of post-AP…

I’m only in five classes this year, and it will be absolute cake after next week:

Statistics AP - We are joining the Calculus AP class to play the card game bridge for the remainder of the year, as well as watching movies while we play. We will have a bridge tournament on the final exam days.
Literature AP - We’re going to watch movies “of cinematic value” and analyze them from various perspectives (psychological, etc.)… basically, sit back, do nothing but still maintain some integrity to the class.
Beginning Guitar - (I’ve been playing guitar 6 years, and ONLY took this as the “fine arts” so I could get into the UC schools). We do nothing in this class. Ever. (Some fine arts.)
Pyschology II AP - We are going to watch movies. And order pizzas.
Student Aide - Almost harder than my guitar class. I actually have to do filing, which is more work than I do in guitar.

So basically… I LOVE post-AP. You do get that feeling of emptiness a little bit, but its a nice empty, its an accomplished empty. It feels like we deserve to relax for the remainder of the school year where the rest of the kids who haven’t worked as hard as we have need to finish it out. It’s a beautiful thing.

yeah, I know what you mean. its cute to call it a season. I especially feel direction-less right after a test, walking out of the building. its a vulnerable time I think :)

Vi, I’m the same way. I feel more unmotivated than I did before I took the APs, and now I’m not even looking forward to prom as much.

Hopefully I’ll get excited again after my last exam (psych), and I guess I’ll have to reestablish my work ethic in college.

How I wish there was an emoticon for indifference.

theoceanside, you’re feeling vulnerable? awww. i’ve never really attributed vulnerability w/ post ap season until now.

ashley, gl on the ap psych. from what i remember from last year, it was pretty funnnn.

A lot of my friends took the psych AP last year as juniors, and the entire class passed. A lot of them said they did no outside studying (our teacher is a “nazi” and holds several review sessions). They could just be bragging about it, though. You know how people are sometimes. “Yeah, I passed and I didn’t even study.” GREAT4YOU.

Maybe I should have more faith in humanity. Excuse the cynicism.

Jennifer - our teachers never give us a break!

what projects do we have left in physics?

Krishna - I know the kids last year had a project…something do to with sound waves… I hope Mr. Malin forgets about it

oo yeah! you have to build an instrument using a shoebox I think. Thats what my brother had to do 3 years ago.

i should have studied for gov tonight, but i didnt. then im going to be working friday saturday and sunday. so basically it will be last minute cramming…
