Post Bacc Student Question

Hi,

Let’s say you are a newly post bacc student who has a degree in fine arts, and struggled the first semester in the program in their first Biology and Chemistry due to adjusting.

Will this one semester have an effect on your candidacy to medical school if you didn’t do as well as you have liked?

It is understood that you need a great GPA and stellar MCAT score.

Feedback is encouraged.

It will hurt, but if you do well from now on you could still be in good shape.

Thanks for the feedback

NP, if you want more specific feedback you’ll have to post your stats and exactly how poor is poor though :)

O, I just started my first semester in the program.

How “poor” are you doing, though? Are we talking you’ll probably have a 3.0-3.5 in your science courses or are we talking you’ll probably end up w/ a 2.0-2.5? Your cumulative from UG will also matter. The more info you give, the better the feedback others can give. How is your BA cGPA?
