I’ve had a couple of virtual interviews so far, and they’ve thankfully all been 10/10s as I’m REALLYYY relying on them bc I’m applying for 11th grade admission. I emailed all my interviewers afterward, and they all responded really warmly, especially Milton. I’m just not really sure how exactly to stay in contact with them. I don’t want to bombard them with trivial questions every week, but I also don’t want to give them radio silence. Advice would be very helpful!
This is a great question to ask on this thread.
We had the same question. The advice I got from a few admissions officers was that a short thank-you note is appropriate (hand written or email). Beyond that, you don’t need to stay in touch. There is an exception: you can reach out to let your admissions officer know about major news after you have submitted your application, but it should be major news, like becoming state math champion or getting selected for a Junior National sports team. Otherwise, you run the risk of cluttering up their inbox, making your well-intentioned emails counterproductive. Don’t worry – they won’t forget about you.
