<p>I totally have the same thing TONS of e-mails and a bunch of letters- NYU, Brown, U of Delaware and Miami. And the Junior Statesmen school. Then again I took the SATS cold, hence the lack of any really good one besides Brown- my score was good but FAR from perfect. Anyway, point being e-mails = annoying.</p>

<p>i also got a ton from schools. top schools:nyu, duke, mit, brown, swarthmore, notre dame, etc. i have like 10 pages of just colleges. i can barely find other important info</p>

<p>Some of the emails and letters I get say stuff like “We’ve contacted you because your PSAT score was good”. So I guess I was wondering the same thing: do they actually see the score? Maybe there’s a percentile or range or something</p>

<p>Yeah my mail said they noticed i had outstanding psat scores, and theyd look really dumb if i actually did really bad…so they must see some score…right?</p>

Columbia University(one of the best)
university of washington in st. louis(one of the best)
rochester university
University of Washington (my favorite school)
… blah blah blah</p>

<p>Just ignore these mails. They have no significance.</p>

<p>I didn’t do too well and I’ve been getting stuff from Brown and Chicago U and other great places, I doubt they see my score range.</p>

<p>Some correlation. Some schools probably send mail/email to just about everyone (or everyone I know), but others only send it to those who get above certain scores, etc.</p>

<p>My parents (who sort the mail) throw out most of the college stuff before I read it, so all I know is I got email from Caltech and Brown, and my friend didn’t. :)</p>

<p>But of course these schools just send you letters so you apply => they can reject you => improve their yield.</p>
