Yeah, as I recall, my S did get his certificate in the mail at home in the fall, prior to writing his college aps. He should be getting more of them this fall for having taken even more APs this year.

im glad my parents were never intense enough to post on a student thread about how smart i am. that’d get old fast

Just found out “D” passed AP Spanish with a 3! That’s all she needed. Now she’s sitting at 31 credits (out of the max you can have of 32) going into her freshman year. She is ecstatic! :)

parents…sigh

You know I am pretty happy considering that I did not study:
AP Psych-4
AP Span- 1 (but i got credit as if i got a three because of another test)
AP Stat- 2 (i dont know what happened, it was such an easy class)
AP Lit- 4
AP Art- 4!!! This is the best I could dream for
AP Gov- 4

I would love to have some of the other scores on hear but i did not put the effort I would need to do so…oh well

“AP Span- 1 (but i got credit as if i got a three because of another test”

just curious… what was the other test?

it was just the schools placement test. All my friends that passed that exam still got into the same class as I did with the same credit.

My friend and I- same school- both took the AP English Literature exam. Neither of us have received our scores.

:(

Received my scores today…finally! But still waiting on AP Lit. I did well in high school–just praying that will continue in college.

I hadn’t looked at my AP exam scores until just now. I wanted to wait until a really good day, in hopes they might be good. I was scared my APUS was going to be a 3 and Physics was going to be a 2. I kept on praying I do well, on and on…I kept telling myself throughout the day that I got 2 5’s, hoping positive attitude might save me.

I finally ripped open the envelope, and looked, and…

US History - 5
Physics B - 3

So, it’s not perfect, but I am very happy with myself. :)

AP Psych - 5

yayyy. do colleges actually take these into account during admissions? because that would be fantastic.

Colleges don’t come out and tell you this because the poor kids from bad schools have a disadvantage, and this will open up a can worms. AP exams are another way to validate your transcript; all things being equal AP scores have to pay a roll. SAT’s, GPA, recommendation letters, activities, community service, legacy, your sex, your adversities, your vision for your future, and your ethnic background, all play a roll. It’s just not one thing; it is amalgam of everything that you are that is of import (IMO). This only implies if you are going to a selective school, but if you are going to state school (for most state schools), GPA, and SAT’s will do just fine. Good job, and good luck.

I’m so giddy right now!

I got my late AP Euro score! 5!!! Woohoo! (I know that for most of the people on this site, a 5 on every AP exam is a given, but for me it’s a different story.)

Junior Year:
AP Biology: 4
AP European: 5

Sophomore Year
AP US History: 4 (bad teacher)

jlauer95,

living temporarily in Alabama w/ Husband, 2 sons, 2 dogs, 2 cats, 2 Crazy!

WOW! You can do it, good luck.

AP Euro - 4 (considering I thought I messed up the essays, I’m pretty happy with it! I would have liked a 5, but I’m happy with a 4.)

US-3 Teacher didn’t really prepare us well for the AP exam, but I’m glad I passed.
