<p>I knew about the origin of Dr. Cangel’s screen name because of her profile in the old forum…I think it is made up of components of her first and last name.</p>
<p>I don’t think I post often enough for anyone to have spent too much time pondering my screenname, but for the record, it has nothing to do with encephalitis. That didn’t occur to me until one of my kids read over my shoulder and pronounced it. It’s just NC (as in North Carolina) and Eph (as in Williams College student/alum). Not so exciting or clever.</p>
<p>This thread is VERY enlightening and I appreciate it ! I especially enjoy being enlightened about sea-angel , thank goodness, kept thinking about that commercial, like, "are you gellin " Thanks for straightening me out!
Also, for whatever reason, whenever I read Soosievt I see a mom sitting at her computer wearing a red t-shirt with a hammer and sickle on it, like the old soviet flag. Something Russian about that name somehow…yes, I KNOW it’s Suzie in VT!! lol</p>

<p>Hi, getting here late. No one has guessed mine. 
In the old CC, I was just tabby. Tabby is my daughter’s nickname. So when I had to revise my name for the new CC that would not accept tabby, I became tabby’s mom= tabbyzmom. Not tabby-zee-mom. However, it is my S who is college-bound and of whom I post.
I STILL will always say mentally, “CAIN-jel” and “mah-REET”. I’d figured out Suzie was from Vermont. I figured out Mom of 2 in California w no problem b/c I knew she was from California.
The LA names throw me b/c I don’t know if they’re Louisiana or Los Angeles…or neither.</p>

Garland always seems like someone greatly musically inclined. Mystee never seemed like a mom to me, not but a mysterious student. Dulce and Ideorochi definitely as Italians! lol

<p>btw, the name got started over on PR,when my first post was to talk to a student who had just been accepted to Penn’s Digital Media Design program. I posted a question to him and wanted to choose a name that would catch his attention so he’d give me the details on his acceptance.</p>
<p>I’m still very, very late to school. But I’m getting closer!!!</p>
<p>Being of a literary bent, I adapted my name from Jabberwocky: “And the mome raths outgrabe.” (The homonym, Mom Wrath, also applies on occasion.) </p>
<p>I feel that I did a fair amount of outgrabing, not to mention gyring and gimbling on my beamish boy but did eventually get to the point of saying “O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!”</p>

<p>i actually typically go by the handle “ouch” because i am so accident prone. you could ask anyone that knows me about my accident pronitis, and they’d let you know i fell down the stairs when i was in west palm beach, fell up the stairs in baltimore… and some other things… welll i basically just have issues with stairs :)</p>
