If you are supremely proud of yourself this semester, is it wise to post your entire transcript on Facebook, redacting certain information like SSNs or can something bad happens with stuff like that?

you mean showing off? That’s just weird… and a bit self obsessed… I mean you can do it… but what will you get out of it?

I don’t think anything bad can happen if you take out SSN and ID number and stuff, but it still might be considered pretty arrogant lol

Don’t do it.

People on my feed (only saw this from my school) took screenshots of their online grades for the semester…That’s about it…
I saw one person take a screenshot of her online transcript but she was graduating and was proud to have a 3.92 GPA with a 4.00 semester GPA for her final semester of undergrad.

Nothing bad will happen, except you will look like a braggy idiot.

You will look really stupid to everyone in your friends list.

Most people just post their semester grades while hiding their cum GPA. I wonder why…

That’s just incredibly obnoxious. Grades are not something that should be broadcasted on your Facebook.

Really? That’s still pretty dumb. Yeah, it’s okay if you brag about getting into a good college/grad shcool/program, I can understand that. It lets people know where you are going or what you are doing. But I doubt anyone cares about your grades. Posting your grades has no benefit at all. Even worse is posting your actual transcript! Facebook isn’t a grad school application.

Nobody likes people who take facebook seriously.

I dunno. My friends have posted screenshots of their semester grades and I posted about a class in which I struggled but ultimately did well, but I’d never post my entire transcript. Maybe just post a screenshot of the semester’s grades?

Also, in regards to if it’s considered arrogant or not, it totally depends on your caption. If you write something humbling, it’ll be perceived as so; if you write something arrogant or showoffy, it’ll be perceived as so. A lot of times, it’s not about what you do but how you do it.

Why don’t you just treat yourself to some ice cream or something for a job well done? I don’t understand what posting it on facebook is going to accomplish besides having other people judge you.

I doubt anything bad will happen but it certainly is annoying. This guy in my class had straight As and posted his report card tagging other kids who also had straight As. I was annoyed as hell.
