Potential Application Scenario

I want to conduct a survey on CC.
Here is my question:
Think about yourself or all the people who you know the race and income…
How many of these people fall into the 0-35,000 bracket and are considered a URM in college admissions, 35-65,000 and are considered a URM, 65-100,000 and are considered a URM? A general ballpark guess is satisfactory.

Report this in the following fashion:
0-35,000: __ Students, __ are URMS
35-65,000: __ Students, __ are URMS
65-100,000: __ Students, __ are URMS

I am not in any way trying to prove that ethnicities are poor or something. I just have a theory about how college admissions can be improved. I know this is not in any way a satisfactory survey, but I just want to get a general idea to see if I should pursue this topic further. To maintain the integrity of this survey, I will not share my hypothesis until I get enough data. Thanks for participating!

Hunh? You’re asking the no. of URMs that I (a single individual) know that might fall under those income brackets? Ummm, you might want to go talk to your social studies teacher and get some proper research tools. What you’re asking isn’t that hard to find out using census data. Asking a sampling of people to tell them numbers of people they know – sounds like the recipe for meaningless statistics to me.
