Ok I’m in a huge dilemma. I can only take Math and Science in these combinations (because some are Double Periods etc)

Math till MV Calc, 2 Years of Bio, 2 Years of Chemistry and 1 Year of Physics.

Math till MV Calc, 1 Year of Bio, 2 Years of Chemistry, 1 Year of Physics and 1 Year of Economics.

Math till Calc BC, 2 Years of Bio, 2 Years of Chemistry, 1 Year of Physics and Economics.

Math till Calc BC, 2 Years of Bio, 2 Years of Chemistry, 2 Years of Physics.

I’ll get at least one year of Chemistry and Physics (because they’re required in Freshman and Sophomore years respectively).

I’m interested in Chemical Engineering (or Biological Engineering) and Business as well. I’d like to keep all my interests alive. Which track is the most beneficial ?

There’s another option actually. I can take Health over the summer (that’d open up a spot Sophomore Year), and take Physics then (But I’d have to get special permission for that). I’m currently taking AP Comparative Government and Health over that one spot (both are 1 semester classes). But I’m poor, so I’ll probably be working over the summer (and volunteering in what little time I have - I’m a recent immigrant and have only 20 hours of volunteering).

If you are working don’t worry about volunteering, I never did but I worked 35-40 hour weeks for 3 years so I’d think that made up for it.

But damn, aren’t you a little ahead of yourself? You are just entering high school, I take it? I mean maybe wait until you take chemistry before planning becoming a chemical engineer (and even then you’ll have a good chance of taking your college intro chemistry classes and deciding you want to switch). Anyway I’d take the first classes and then decide - you can’t possibly know what you’ll want to do 2 or 3 years from now. Take the first year of each class and then decide how you want to spend the other time. So, if you take Bio and like it, take the next course. If you take chemistry and like it, take the next course. Same with physics and math. Talk to your counselor, too.

But also just relax a bit. High school is way less stressful than college, don’t work too hard, seriously.

milki, I assume they’re quite different. AP and IB Biology are grouped into one class for us and it’s a double period so I’m assuming its more extensive.
