As a general comment, for this combination of interests, a major in data science might be ideal. Through this path, you would combine statistics and computing to an applied domain, such as economics.
I hesitate to link this thread because it’s pretty late, but if you dont want to take a gap year, you might want to apply to a sure thing or two. Some places are still taking applications. You have the potential to get accepted at the schools on your list, but none are really a sure thing.
So…read this thread. Student was a very very strong student, like you, and no one expected that he wouldn’t get accepted to some college. But that is what happened. He did take a very successful gap year and applied to a new list of colleges the following year, including a couple of sure things. He really landed well on his feet. So there is that.
Thx, also if I don’t get in anywhere this year I still have senior year (I can’t graduate early unless I get in somewhere), sorry for the miscommunication (it wouldnt really be a gap year as much as just another HS year
You are graduating early? You are fortunate that you are able to continue next year if nothing pans out well for you this year. And it wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world!
No, my school is letting me take the final for the one credit im missing if I get in somewhere, its something to do with state policy I think? but im not sure
