At this point you are in a wait and see mode. So…just wait and see. Are you viewing Colgate or Bowdoin as your safety schools?

Kinda but I understand none of these are true safeties

Do you HAVE a true safety? That just wasn’t listed here?

As a general comment, for this combination of interests, a major in data science might be ideal. Through this path, you would combine statistics and computing to an applied domain, such as economics.

Unfortunately no, but all of these apps are a cycle early so absolute worst case I have next year with no real consequence

Also because of school complications (counselor stuff) all these were submitted late and all my safeties were closed :frowning:

I hesitate to link this thread because it’s pretty late, but if you dont want to take a gap year, you might want to apply to a sure thing or two. Some places are still taking applications. You have the potential to get accepted at the schools on your list, but none are really a sure thing.

So…read this thread. Student was a very very strong student, like you, and no one expected that he wouldn’t get accepted to some college. But that is what happened. He did take a very successful gap year and applied to a new list of colleges the following year, including a couple of sure things. He really landed well on his feet. So there is that.

There are still colleges taking applications.

Wait i forgot i also put in an app to FSU (i have in state rates b/c grandparent waiver) so theres a safety

Good!

Thx, also if I don’t get in anywhere this year I still have senior year (I can’t graduate early unless I get in somewhere), sorry for the miscommunication (it wouldnt really be a gap year as much as just another HS year

You are graduating early? You are fortunate that you are able to continue next year if nothing pans out well for you this year. And it wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world!

Yep, I mean hopefully things do work out and I get in somewhere this year but the safety net is nice

What does this mean ?

Are you suggesting that your high school will credit your first year of college to the requirements for a high school diploma ?

No, my school is letting me take the final for the one credit im missing if I get in somewhere, its something to do with state policy I think? but im not sure

Couldn’t this be accomplished during the summer ?

Thats most likely what would happen
