potential pre-law student

Hey,

I’m a high school senior and I was accepted early decision to the college of arts and sciences at cornell univeristy. going to law school is definitely a possibility that i want to look into further, so i have a few questions.

i’ve been reading some threads on this forum, and one of them discussed how your undergraduate school and its reputation/prestige play a role in some law schools’ decisions…how does cornell’s undergrad rep/prestige factor into law school admissions at top schools like Harvard, Yale, Stanford, and Columbia?

how would a gov’t/econ double major @ cornell affect your chances at the aforementioned schools?

ECs matter a lot in college admissions…do they carry similar weight in law school admissions at HYS and columbia? or not as much so (mostly your #s)?

I’m sorry if some the questions were addressed in previous threads…

I’d really appreciate it if you gave me some insights!!!

Thanks!!!

Cornell is fine.

Government or Econ or both: all fine.

Some but perhaps less emphasis on ECs. But do something.

Think about how to get to know a professor or two well enough to get meaningful rec's. It can be harder than in HS.

Grades and test scores have to be there for HYSC.
