Potential Transfer Situation

I am very unhappy at the school I am at now (penn state) and plan on potentially transferring for the upcoming Spring 2019 semester. I am a double major in Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering, mainly with a focus on prosthetics. The schoolwork here is great, I am just having trouble finding a good group of friends and getting involved. Anyways, I am considering a transfer and would like to know of any smaller schools that seem to fit my field of engineering? I am currently in my fall semester of my sophomore year. This school is just too big and kind of a free for all. Don’t get me wrong, I do enjoy many aspects, but I just cant see myself here for another 2.5 years.

Bucknell University offers both biomedical & mechanical engineering.

Not sure whether or not Lafayette College has both.

The big names in biomedical are Georgia Tech, Johns Hopkins, MIT, Duke & Stanford.

The University of Rochester would be excellent for these engineering fields and is sufficiently different from Penn State to merit serious consideration.

A number of AITU (http://theaitu.org) schools (including my own, Illinois Tech) have Biomedical Engineering departments and some of them offer significant merit aid to transfer students.
